Parenting has no writ rule. We learn, we unlearn, we understand – ourselves and our child. The most common power struggle these days is the topic of excessive screen time by kids.
The usual plan is :
1. take away the childs’ phone.
2. shut the wifi off.
3. give the child a simple calling phone.
Children at any age, look up to their role models. While the above is tried and tested and has minimal success, there is more we can do as parents.
Parents to Try :
1. curtailing your own screen time.
2. No mobiles on dinner table.
3. A designated area for gadgets.
4. Develop hobbies, somatic activities or engage in fun banter at home.
5. Board games work in bonding as a family.
