When a relationship ends, the perspective of life for the person changes. Shared goals cease, low points emerge, isolation happens and advice is given by well-wishers.
This is also a form a #grief and it will go through a few stages. One of the commonest ones is shock and moving towards acceptance is a process.
A few coping mechanisms to deal during a breakup:
- Take time to understand the situation.
- Find a confidante ( friends/ family).
- Nourish yourself well with food-hydration as overthinking depletes energy both physical and mental.
- Nature is the best therapy – sunshine, water front or a forest bath.
- Avoid being hard on yourself – ( self-doubt to be avoided )
- Confront your emotions rather than you ex.
- No means No – ( that is a hard truth).
- Life is precious.
Humans are built with resilience thus reclaim yourself self-worth.
Approaching a #therapist is highly recommended to address concerns and coping with this grief.
